2020: FIRST LEGO League, "RePLAY", Gladsaxe
The 2020 FLL season took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the beginning, during the times of low contagion, we worked at Atheneskolen.
We also went to Feddet Strand Resort together for a weekend of work and fun. We had plenty of time to improve the robot, work on our project, and hold an online meeting with WHAT’S HIS NAME. The whole team also cooked together and went Geocaching.
Later on, the work was mostly done in small teams and over online meetings.
The 2020 Project was FLIQ FLLAK, an app that could help to motivate people to be active and eat healthy. Through a fun game with quests and points, people could live and eat healthier, and get outside and move with friends or family.
We went outside and explored and played, trying to find out how we liked to move. We also had a system with points for eating fruits and veggies to really get in the right spirit.
Again, we were some people on both the project and robot team, and while the project team came up with an idea and design for the project, the robot team worked hard on improving the robots precision. This meant that we used small wheels and a slower speed to make sure we completed the tasks we set out to, every time.
The actual tournament took place online. We had already sent in our Project presentation and Project report, a video about the Core Values, and a video of our Robot Game.
We all met up in our team T-shirts and ate Gifflar together to watch the award ceremony.
This year, there were five nominated teams in each category. We were nominated for the Robot Game. We won the Innovation Project, and we all celebrated together (of course with a safe distance between us).
